NORFOLK, NE – The Northeast Community College women’s basketball team came up short in a 63-60 game against Arkansas Baptist College Friday night.

“We turned the ball over too much, gave up too many offensive rebounds and missed too many free throws,” said Matt Svehla, Hawks coach. “We did not do the things that you need to do to win close ball games.”

Mykala Baylor led the Hawks with a 20-point, 17-rebound double-double. Sierra Bell totaled ten points and seven rebounds. Irene Sanz had eight points and six rebounds, while Jerrica Neal recorded seven points and seven rebounds.
